As well as Werner agreement, sources claim Chelsea still want to sign Kai Havertz

Perhaps quite incredibly, Chelsea are still interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz, as well as already agreeing a deal for Timo Werner.

As per The BBC, Chelsea and RB Leipzig have agreed the sale of Werner to Chelsea this summer, with just his contract needing to be signed.

Despite Chelsea about to be forking out Werner’s £54 million release clause, they could still also pursue a move for his fellow countryman Havertz, according to a couple of reliable sources.

Christian Falk of BILD is reporting that Chelsea still have an interest in Havertz after being asked if Werner was the only German that Chelsea are interested in.

The reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph backed up that claim and confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Havertz in the comments sections of his latest article.

He talks about how the Werner signing is a show of intent from Chelsea and how they are doing their business before the start of the season.
