Chelsea fans will be waking up this morning wondering whether the night before even happened.
It was a crazy night as it pretty much went from Timo Werner being an expected Liverpool player next season, to Timo Werner agreeing a deal in principle to sign for Chelsea.
As per Sky Sports, that is the report that pretty much concluded an evening of sources trying to get the news out as quick as possible.
But it all happened so fast, and Chelsea looked to have firmly kept this move under the hat until the very last minute, as they did with Hakim Ziyech.
Sky say that Chelsea have offered Werner a 200k-a-week contract and will have to pay his £49.4 million release clause before June the 15th.
It seems like formalities need to be tied up and the contract signed, but this deal looks to be very close to conclusion now.
What a great signing he will be for Chelsea!
