Michy Batshuayi tackles Jorginho “a little late” in intense return to action at Cobham

After almost 3 months off, Chelsea were back in full contact, all action training today at Cobham.

In the early June sunshine Frank Lampard was able to direct his first full session since March, and the players were clearly enjoying the chance to be reunited.

This is an exciting period for everyone, and the packed fixture list to come means it’s likely everyone will get a go at some point.

That even includes Michy Batshuayi, who was well down the pecking order before the coronavirus hiatus. Alan Smith from Football.London was there in training, and he noted that Michy went “sliding in” “a little late” on Jorginho during the session.

As Smith notes – this might be the sign that the Belgian is going to put his all into this last run of games. It might be now or never for the disappointing forward after all.

We’re all for it. Just don’t hurt anyone, OK Michy?
