Chelsea vs Man City – Predicted line up, full time result, and goalscorers

Chelsea host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening in what will be the first ever match held at the stadium without a single supporter inside.

Blues fans will be forced to watch from their homes as the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause restrictions.

This is a game where Chelsea could really use some help from their home support, facing a team who won their last game 5-0!

But Chelsea are also off the back of a win, beating Aston Villa 2-1 at the weekend. This will be a whole different ball game against a team who are second in the Premier League and still have a very outside chance of winning the league.

Chelsea have Jorginho back from suspension, and many selection headaches for Lampard to sort out.

It’s become quite difficult to predict a Chelsea line up now because the squad is so big and everyone is pretty much fit again.

Predicted Chelsea Xl (4-3-3) –

Kepa, James, Rudiger, Zouma, Azpilicueta. Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic. Pulisic, Mount, Giroud.

I believe we will see Jorginho back in the holding role due to City’s high press, and Zouma slotting into the back line for his defensive strengths.

I think Mount then goes wide with Pulisic for their high energy press, and Giroud continues up top for a target man outlet. James in for Alonso for his pace and strength, we will need all of our best defenders out there tomorrow!

But I think we can get a result at least.

Predicted scoreline – Chelsea 2 Manchester City 2.

Goalscorer – Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham off the bench.
