Mundo Deportivo have an article today listing Barcelona’s potential targets at left back, but it also has some very interesting Chelsea related news in it.
They say that the reason Barcelona are looking for a left back is that Junior Firpo, who they signed in that position last summer, is on his way to Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan as part of the Lautaro Martinez deal.
Why do Inter want Firpo to be Conte’s new flying left back? According to MD, it’s because their approaches to Chelsea for both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.
That seems amazing, given we constantly hear that Chelsea want to get rid of them. It may just be that the offer wasn’t up to the standard the Blues require, but certainly if Inter do sign Firpo, a major possible outlet for thse unwanted Blues will be shut down.”
The “left back shuffle” looks like it’s going to continue apace this summer.
