Chelsea need to up their offer to land Kai Havertz

Chelsea want to sign sought-after Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz this summer, but they will need to increase their offer if they are to strike a deal.

This is according to The Express, who believe that the pair are £15 million apart in their valuation for the German international.

Chelsea want to sign the 21-year old for £75 million, but Bayer want £90 million for their star player.

The two parties will need to negotiate a fee if this deal is to go ahead.

Havertz would give Frank Lampard that extra needed bit of attacking flair and creativity, something his team has lacked for large moments so far this season.

Chelsea seems like the most viable option for Havertz as it stands, but they will need to get this deal wrapped up soon to ward off other potential suitors for a player who is massively on the rise in world football right now.
