BILD: Chelsea battling to sign potential Timo Werner successor

As we are all aware, Chelsea announced a deal to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig next month as they completed their second pre-signing of the summer.

Hakim Ziyech from Ajax was confirmed back in January, as Frank Lampard looks to put his squad through a mini revamp.

Werner leaving the German side will leave a massive hole in their attack, and they have their sights firmly set on signing his replacement.

According to BILD, Leipzig and Chelsea are two of several clubs that are interested in signing Sparta Prague’s 17-year old striker Adam Hlozek, who would be available for around 15 million euros.

Hlozek is one of the hottest properties in the Czech league and is a current Czech Republic under-21 international that already looks to have a real eye for goal.

I’m not so sure that it would be wise for Chelsea to start annoying Leipzig though, having seemingly created a good business relationship with the club.
