Ashley Cole was the subject of this week’s “Match Of Their Day” on the BBC website, and he went deep with Gary Lineker on his controversial move to Chelsea.
Cole came to the Bridge in exchange for William Gallas and £5m, deal that’s gone down in history as a great one from Chelsea’s perspective.
It all got rather nasty along the way sadly, with Arsenal fans unhappy with how he forced his way out of the club.
Despite all that, and despite admitting he made mistakes during the process, Cole says he wouldn’t change the outcome, or his decision to force the move.
“It’s something I would never regret,” the full back said bullishly when questioned over the controversial move.
