Gianfranco Zola will always be a Chelsea legend, so it was rather unfortunate to see him get involved with Maurizio Sarri’s acrimonious period at the club.
That season created a rift in the fanbase which still exists, and as Sarri’s assistant brought in to bridge the gap between the fans and the new coach, Zola was caught in the crossfire.
He went on the Keys and Gray show in Qatar to talk about that season, and he was actually very Frank about where he thought his boss had made mistakes.
