We are well and truly approaching transfer season, aptly known as silly season.
And this particular rumour could well fall under the category of ‘silly’.
Chelsea are keen to launch a bid for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to reports in Spain.
First off, the Leicester Mercury have ran a report citing information from Spain, claiming Chelsea will rival Real Madrid for the Nigerian international.
As well as this, another Spanish outlet Todofichajes have reported a similar story, citing Chelsea as one of the interested parties for Ndidi.
As amazing as this would be, you have to be realistic. I can’t see Leicester selling their best player, especially not on the cheap. And in the current financial climate I don’t see this as a feasible deal this summer.
But as always in this game, you can never say never, and wilder things have happened in the transfer market!
