Jeremie Boga’s Agent speaks out on whether Chelsea will use buy-back clause

Chelsea inserted a clever buyback clause worth £13 million when they sold winger Jeremie Boga to Sassuolo in 2018, as per Goal.

The 23-year old has had a fantastic season in Serie A, and there are growing reports linking other teams taking an interest in signing the former Chelsea player.

However, if any offers arrive, Chelsea will need to be notified due to the option to re-sign him.

There have been contrasting reports on whether The Blues will be using the option to buy him back or not.

But the player would have to agree to go back to Stamford Bridge for any deal to go through.

You’d think that with the contracts of both Pedro and Willian coming to an end next month, that Boga may well fancy his chances of breaking in to the Chelsea first team this time around, and Chelsea must surely be considering this absolute bargain buy in the current climate?

Well, Boga’s Agent and brother, Daniel, has been asked this very question, as reported by Teamtalk.

He simply replied:

“At this moment, I really couldn’t say.”

He did talk about other clubs interest though…

“I had talks with Napoli, Atalanta and other European clubs. I haven’t had contact with Milan yet, so I don’t know if the reports of their interest in Jeremie are accurate.

“We always have to look at the sporting project, but Milan are a big club and can always be interesting.”
