Frank Lampard keen on striker as former team mate turns Chelsea Agent

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly has a host of potential strikers that he is looking to bring in during the summer transfer window.

One of those targets has often seemed a bit of a pipe dream in recent weeks, with Liverpool looking likely to sign him the most.

But Chelsea’s name is back in the fray to potentially sign RB Leipzig’s sought after striker, Timo Werner.

According to The Daily Mail, who cite German publication BILD as their source of information, Frank Lampard is keen on signing Werner, and Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is trying to convince his fellow German international to join the club.

This news has also been reported by BILD journalist Christian Falk on his Twitter account.

He believes it has now become a three way battle between Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United to sign the prolific forward.

But Rudiger has turned Agent and is doing his upmost to get his former Stuttgart team mate Werner to join him at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea would just have to pay his £49 million release clause, as per the same report.
