Chelsea could well be alerted by the news of one of their transfer targets asking price being set.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Ajax have set a 25 million euros asking price for their left back Nicolas Tagliafico.
Chelsea know the player well having played against him twice this season in the Champions League. They have also signed his former Ajax team mate Hakim Ziyech this summer.
Mundo name Chelsea as being one of the interested clubs to sign him, along with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Left back does appear to be one major area that Lampard will be looking to strengthen this season, and 27-year old Argentine international will surely be a great option to come in at such an incredibly low price, especially in the current climate.
He brings some experience in Europe, and will certainly suit Chelsea’s style of play this season.
It will be interesting to see if they make their move.
