Former Chelsea boss tips Frank Lampard to become “one of the best managers in the world”

Things did not end well at Chelsea for Antonio Conte despite the success he endured as The Blues head coach.

Things turned sour after he fell out with a couple of high profile players, and also the board over transfer targets.

Chelsea fans loved the passionate Italian but ended up being split on opinions when he left.

But collectively they enjoyed some good times at Stamford Bridge and all parties will always hold those memories dearly.

Conte, now the manager of Inter in Serie A, has been facing some Chelsea related questions in his video interview this week, and in particular, his views on the current Blues boss Frank Lampard.

The former Italian international had nothing but encouraging words and praise for Lampard after his first season in the top flight, and he predicts that Lampard will become one of the best managers in the world.

Compliments really do not come from a much higher place than this.

As reported by The Evening Standard, Conte said:

“I think he is dong a really good job, Frank. This is his second experience [as a manager] after Derby County and to manage a top team is not easy.

“I think he has the skills, the ability to become one of the best managers in the world. He has to continue to work in this way and I wish him the best for the future.”
