Chelsea reportedly set laughably low price tag on midfielder as Juventus circle

Silly season is in full swing, and gets sillier by the day as we approach the transfer window.

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Juventus’ desire to reunite Chelsea midfielder Jorginho with his former Napoli and Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri searches desperately for a new midfielder, and it is Jorginho that he wants. According to Corriere dello Sport as cited by Sport Witness, talks are ongoing between Chelsea and Juventus regarding the potential sale this summer.

However, the alleged price tag that Chelsea have set for Jorginho is really quite laughable.

35 million euros is apparently what Chelsea are asking for.

Now Chelsea will paid an initial £50m for Jorginho in 2018, potentially rising to £57m, as per Sky Sports.

So is anyone really expected to believe that Chelsea are about to take roughly a 50% loss on their current vice-captain who is contracted until 2023? Absolutely no chance.

It is believable that Chelsea might sell him, but there is no way Blues chief Marina Granovskaia will be losing him for that sum of money.
