Chelsea offered three tempting players in return for Jorginho

The financial pressures of the coronavirus crisis means that many clubs will have little or no money to spend this summer, and even the big teams will have to try unorthodox methods to upgrade their squads.

Swap deals look like they will be back in fashion, and Chelsea have been linked with some pretty tempting names at Juventus in a report by Sport in Spain today.

They write that the Italian side have put Douglas Costa, Federico Bernardeschi and Adrien Rabiot on the table as potential swaps, along sdie Miralem Pjanic who they are particularly keen to get rid of. The Old Lady’s eyes are fixed on Emerson and Jorginho from Chelsea’s squad.

Most Chelsea fans – and perhaps Frank Lampard – would consider those two players expendable right now, and all three of those Juventus names would be worth a roll of the dice in the Premier League.

Both teams could stand to gain if a deal is struck, which makes one seem at least possible, despite the difficulty of arranging a swap.
