“I will be a Chelsea player” winger says move was never in doubt

Due to the unprecedented times were are currently all living in, there had been some doubts cast over some key Chelsea business.

The Blues have agreed a £37.8 million deal (as per The Standard) with Ajax that will see their winger Hakim Ziyech arrive as a new Chelsea player on July the 1st this year.

But there was some concerns that if the seasons are extended, then would Ziyech have to stay with Ajax, and would his Chelsea move even get completed?

Well, the player himself says he was never in doubt that he will be a Chelsea player come July regardless, and now that the Dutch season has been void indefinitely, the next time Ziyech kicks a ball on the pitch will be in a Chelsea shirt!

The Moroccon international has spoken out publicly about the situation, and it sounds like he is eager to arrive at the club and get to work.

As reported by The Standard, Ziyech said:

“I really haven’t had any doubt for a single second. My signature is on the contract and so yes, on July 1 I will be a Chelsea player. I’ve never had any other thought.”
