Tottenham make ‘early moves’ to sign Chelsea winger

Chelsea have a few players who are coming to the end of their current contract in two months time.

Whilst Olivier Giroud is in talks to sign a new contract, it now looks pretty certain that wingers Pedro and Willian will be leaving the club.

Willian is one of the longest serving players at the club, but he is refusing to sign a 2-year contract extension, claiming he only wants a 3-year extension, in his own words.

Chelsea have a rule that they only offer over 30-year old’s a 1-year contract extension, so they are already breaking this by offering Willian 2 years.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham are making early moves to sign Willian in June when his deal ends and he becomes a free agent.

It now seems inevitable that is the end of the road for Willian at Chelsea. But rest assured, if he goes to direct rivals Spurs, Blues fans will not be best pleased!
