Top class keeper could be available for “€25-30m” because of two major price factors

Chelsea have a major problem in goal at the moment, with Kepa Arrizabalaga playing so poorly this season that he actually lost his place in the team, and Willy Caballero providing insufficient quality as a backup.

One player who lots of fans would love to have is Gigi Donnarumma. Of all the players we have been linked with as potential Kepa replacements (excluding unrealistic links to Jan Oblak and Marc Andre Ter Stegen), Donnarumma is the most exciting.

He’s still young with a massive future ahead of him, but certain factors are adding up to drive his price down, and MilanNews now say he could be available for as little as €25-30m.

That’s an outrageously low fee, but the combination of his contract situation (the current deal expiring in summer 2021) and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic smashing club finances worldwide might just make it feasible.

If there’s any truth he would be available at that price. Chelsea need to make it happen, without hesitation.
