Man U winger says Chelsea defender is hardest he’s faced

Man U signed Dan James last summer to give them a bit of threat from out wide, and the winger made good progress in his first season at Old Trafford.

It was up and down though, unsurprising when you consider the top players the left winger came up against over the last year.

He’s named two of the hardest he’s played in the top flight, and one of them is a Chelsea player. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was his first choice, but a young Blue came a close second:

“For me it’s obviously got to be Aaron. I don’t think we’ve seen many players get past him… And Reece James, definitely,” James said.

“I played him last season at Wigan and he was definitely… and obviously he’s been playing this season as well,” he went on.

We saw Reece’s game develop through the season, and he showed that he’s got as much nous at the back as going forwards. We can’t wait to see how he can progress next year with another 12 months of fitness and experience under his belt.

His namesake Dan could be in for a tough few years on the left wing when he plays Chelsea.
