Chelsea made a big and decisive move in 2018 when they paid a world record fee for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
He had impressed in La Liga, but things haven’t been so good in his two seasons in the Premier League. Things got so bad at one point, in fact, that he was dropped from the team entirely.
His replacement from the Basque team’s production line of talent was Unai Simon, and the new man has been ever better than Kepa was in his last season in La Liga, as the graphical comparison between the two on StatsBomb shows.
