Chelsea ‘willing to double wages’ of striker target and get ahead of rivals

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is seemingly on the hunt for a new striker this summer, or when the transfer window eventually reopens.

Tammy Abraham is the club’s current top goalscorer and has done well in his first season in the Chelsea senior team. However, Lampard wants to bring in extra reinforcements and competition up top, with a number of different names being linked right now.

One of the particularly newer names mentioned with making a potential move to Chelsea is Lautaro Martinez from Inter.

The 22-year old has many similarities to one of the greatest all-round strikers of the modern day, Sergio Aguero, and he is in high demand.

Chelsea are looking to get ahead of their rivals by offering Martinez double his current salary, according to The Daily Express.

However, this may not be enough, due to the Argentina international preferring a move to Barcelona, who are also keen on signing him.
