Chelsea “don’t want to sell” key midfielder despite interest from 4 top European clubs

The whispers around N’Golo Kante possibly leaving Chelsea have just grown stronger and stronger this season.

Perhaps it’s his struggles to get fit, and his increasing issues with finding form even when on the pitch. Perhaps it’s just the lack of other interesting potential targets to write about. Whatever the case, the France midfielder’s theoretical summer departure has suddenly become a talking point.

It’s not going anywhere, especially now Italian transfer insider Nicolo Schira has entered the arena with news that some top sides are chasing him:

He names Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Juve as interested, and that’s a tricky lineup to hold off even for a team like Chelsea.

The good news, is that he says we don’t want to sell. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, especially if we get a big offer, but it does give us some comfort that we will at least hold out for a ridiculous fee if we do sell him.

Considering the teams interested, we might just get one too. A bidding war between Europe’s giants for the 29 year old could produce a monster fee for us, one that the club find it hard to turn down.
