Willian is ‘considering offers’ from other clubs after rejecting latest Chelsea offer

Chelsea winger Willian has rejected the latest contract offer proposed by Chelsea, according to Brazilian outlet UOL.

As translated by Sport Witness, the website claims that Chelsea have offered a 2-year extension, but that has been rejected by the Brazilian international, who is not accepting less than a new 3-year deal.

They say that the 32-year old is ‘already considering new offers’ from other clubs, and his intention is to stay in Europe. Approaches have been made by ‘English sides.’

Frank Lampard has always maintained that the negotiations stay on-going, but it looks like if any deal is to be completed between the two parties, Chelsea will have to give Willian 3 years, which is highly unlikely.

They have a ruling on over 30s that they will only offer 1-year extensions. Of course this was broken with David Luiz in recent times who had 2 years, but surely 3 years is pushing it too much.

It is quite possible that Willian has already agreed terms for his next move this summer.
