There were plenty of players who deserved praise today as Chelsea defeated Everton, none more so than Olivier Giroud.
The striker has been back in the team in the last few weeks after a long period frozen out, and he’s made the difference in both games.
Today he battled hard from the very start, setting the tone, winning balls and scoring a goal himself.
In the press conference after the game, Frank Lampard took the opportunity to praise him, mentioning how he’s “fantastic in the dressing room” despite the difficult situation he’s been in, and repeated that “he was brilliant” in this game.
