After Chelsea beat Liverpool on Tuesday night it was mentioned in Frank Lampard’s post-match press conference that there had been team meetings at the club following the recent run of bad results.
Lampard mentioned that again yesterday after another impressive win, saying that “the harsh meetings have made [the players] focused.”
They certainly looked far more engaged and determined in these two recent games. Maybe a bit of a tongue lashing was exactly what they needed. Hopefully from this point onwards they can perform at a high level without the need for intense behind the scenes confrontations.
