Chelsea have announced their team for the game against Everton in an hour, and one notable name in the lineup was Billy Gilmour.
The 18 year old was superb against Liverpool on Tuesday night, and Frank Lampard hasn’t been able to leave him out following that showing.
“I expect more of the same,” the Chelsea boss said when asked what he wanted from the young central midfielder today. He went on to say that he didn’t want to put too much pressure on him – but we think the brilliant 18 year old can handle a little pressure already. So far, he’s been thriving.
You can see the manager speaking to Sky Sports in the clip below:
Frank Lampard on Billy Gilmour's first Premier League start:
🗣"He's young so I don't want to put too much on his shoulders, but I believe in him.”
