Frank Lampard is never one to get too carried away with a win, and later on he was full of caution, but even he couldn’t deny how impressive Chelsea’s performance in their win over Liverpool today was.
“You can’t ask for any more” he said, praising his team’s work ethic and defensive solidity in keeping a clean sheet against the potent Liverpool attack.
They also took their chances for once, which made a huge difference.
