Chelsea have long been linked with bids for Alex Telles of Porto, and now it really seems like things are heating up.
It’s gone from a trickle to a stream in recent weeks, and now we have a regular “insider” adding some concrete weight to matter.
Nicolo Schira, who is well connected especially when it comes to Serie A, and has built a good reputation in the last couple of summers, has said that Chelsea are “really interested” in the left back as a Marcos Alonso – who could leave for Inter Milan.
#Chelsea are really interested in Alex #Telles (Porto) for the next season. Talks ongoing. He could replace Marcos #Alonso, who is the first choice of Antonio #Conte for #Inter as a left-back. #transfers #CFC

That all seems to add up. Antonio Conte had great success using Alonso at Chelsea and may now want him at Inter. Telles seems to have long been a target for us, and given Frank Lampard doesn’t particularly seem to rate Alonso or Emerson Palmieri his alternative, buying a new player in that position seems very possible.
Whether it will be Telles remains to be seen – but we don’t doubt he’s somewhere near the top of the list.
