Porto ‘ready to cash in’ on Chelsea target, new contract offer rejected

The rumour mill is spinning and there seems to be pace gathering Chelsea’s reported pursuit of one player in particular.

Porto left back Alex Telles is an alleged target for Chelsea, as per many reports including the reliable Portuguese outlet A Bola (cited by The Daily Mail).

Not only have they spoken about Chelsea’s constant ‘charm offences’ in an attempt to sign Telles in recent weeks, they also believe now that the Brazilian international has rejected an offer of a new contract at the club, and they are content with cashing in on him now.

The 27-year old is out of contract next summer, so this summer will be the last time they are able to get some money for their player, which plays into Chelsea’s hands entirely.

With this in mind, it is expected that it wont take much more than £20 million to secure his services this summer. He also has a release clause of £33.5 million.
