Inter Milan still want Chelsea man to add to Aubameyang up front

Way back in the Autumn it became clear that Olivier Giroud wasn’t getting much of a look in under Frank Lampard at Chelsea, and one of the teams that was linked with him from all the way back then was Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte was a fan of Giroud’s at Chelsea, and clearly rated him as a potential signing to back up his starting strikers. The fact that he went out and signed Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young just shows that his love of Premier League players is no joke.

Now the Italian side are apparently chasing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as Giroud, as Conte looks to transition to a 100% former Premier League player lineup. The Daily Mail report that the ex-Chelsea boss is looking for players to replace Lautaro Martinez if the Argentine goes to Barcelona.

Giroud made more of an impact in the last few weeks of the season for Chelsea, and we’re sure he can do the same in Italy too. With PAE alongside him in Conte’s two striker system, we can see serious damage being done in Serie A.
