Frank Lampard has been giving a remote press conference, mainly on the measures the club are taking around the coronavirus pandemic.
He explained how the pause in football was benefiting some Chelsea players, but not others, in quotes Tweeted out by Goal.com writer Nizaar Kinsella:
Lampard said the break in play has been good for Kante, Kovacic and Hudson-Odoi to get fit from injury but not for Ruben Loftus-Cheek who lost match fitness. #CFC

That makes sense – the injured players have now had a whole month recover, and will now get even more time. None of their problems were too severe, so there seems a good chance all will be ready for a restart in a couple of months at least.
And while it’s true that RLC will be far from match-fit, the longer this goes on for the further everyone else in the league is from it too. Plus, the extra caution on returning from his injury may prove to be beneficial long term.
Hopefully this break can benefit everyone, and we can resume the season at full strenght.
