Emerson “forced out of Chelsea by Frank Lampard’s style”

Chelsea left back Emerson is not happy at the club, and is looking closer than ever to a move away.

The former Roma left back feels like he’s “being forced out of Chelsea by Frank Lampard’s controlling style”, according to the Daily Mirror.

They say that the new Chelsea boss’ military precision in the dressing room and his drilling on the training pitch aren’t what Emerson was expecting. The managers “level of control” over players apparently doesn’t suit the Italy star’s personality.

That surprises us a little – who wouldn’t want to work under a consummate pro like Frank? Perhaps Emerson is spinning it this way, but the real reason he’s probably leaving is his very average performances ever since he arrived at Chelsea.

That seems more pertinent than any disagreement with the manager or his style.

Luckily for us, there appears to be tons of interest from Serie A in the left back, who will presumably depart as soon as the window opens again.
