The crazy number of academy players given Chelsea debuts this season

Tino Anjorin and Armando Broja have been the names making waves in Chelsea’s youth ranks this season, and the pair were given debuts today by Frank Lampard against Everton.

The injuries and suspensions in the team have meant both have been in and around the first team squad this week, and they’ve been rewarded with Premier League debuts today.

Meanwhile Billy Gilmour, who was playing in the same team as them not long ago, was also scintillating in the middle.

Today was another superb day for the academy, and it’s taking a step to the next level now Frank Lampard is in charge. Getting these minutes now is a great sign for the youngsters that there are going to be more chances to come.

The more games we get a 4 goal lead in, the more kids we can play. So let’s hope the starting team can keep this form up for the rest of the season.
