Conor Gallagher offered one good option and one bad option for next season

Conor Gallagher has made huge strides in the last 12 months.

After excelling in his final season in the youth team, the youngster was sent out on loan to Charlton in August. He excelled in South-East London, to the extent that in January it was decided he could upgrade to a team higher up in the Championship.

He joined Swansea, and while their form has suffered, the midfielder has continued to impress. The question is where he should go next year to continue his development, and it’s clear that a top division team is next.

The Sun link him with two options – Burnley and Vitesse Arnhem.

We have long established connections with Vitesse, and recently we saw a young Mason Mount impress on loan there.

But the Eredivisie is a step down from the Premier League, and a move to Burnley must surely be the preferred option. If he can force his way into Sean Dyche’s team he can learn a huge amount at the rough end of the Premier League table, and hopefully turn up at Chelsea the following season battle-tested, at his peak age, ready to shine.
