Chelsea ‘are prepared to invest heavily this summer’ with 5 key targets on the radar

As the world continues to deal with the global Coronavirus pandemic, we here at Chelsea-News will continue to provide you content to give you a rest bite from all the madness!

This time of the year would usually be all about the football being played on the pitch, but as we know that wont be happening for a little while yet.

But at least it seems to be giving Chelsea time to discuss potential transfer moves for the summer, and The Evening Standard have given an update on the players they believe could be chased by The Blues this summer.

Frank Lampard wants a squad that he can challenge with in the Champions League, and get closer to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League.

Of course, the biggest player on their list is Jadon Sancho, and the paper believe they will not be put off by Sancho’s £120 million price tag and have already held discussions over making a move.

They also state Lyon striker Moussa Dembele as being the main priority up front, but also tout Timo Werner of RB Leipzig as also being on the shortlist.

Talk of Wilfired Zaha is still alive, although they do say that if this deal is to happen, Crystal Palace will have to significantly lower their £80 million asking price.

Finally, it is Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell who remains the number one target for the left back position.
