Chelsea players make ‘sizeable donation’ to support COVID-19 victims

It is always good to look for the positives in a time like this, as the world battles the global Coronavirus pandemic.

Mental health suffers in these times for many, so it is a nice relief to read a story like this.

As reported by The Chelsea Website, the Blues senior squad players have all made a sizeable donation to the Chelsea Foundation that is helping to support those in need during the current COVID-19 crisis.

The first donations will be to local organisations in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster, looking to help families and at-risk individuals that need immediate support and access to food parcels.

These donations from the players will allow the club to work with a number of charities to support the most vulnerable within the local community.

This is a great gesture and it is great to see that the players are willing to muck in and help out, as well as the club as a whole, who already turned their Millennium Hotel into a place where NHS staff can be housed during the crisis.
