Chelsea offered Barca failure after £142m transfer flop

Phil Coutinho has been offered to Chelsea, according to the Daily Star.

The tabloid claim that the Barcelona attacker is no longer wanted in Catalonia, and the club are offering him out to anyone who might want to take him.

He signed for the Spanish club in £142m back in January 2018, and Chelsea were hot on his heels then if the rumours were to be believed.

But of course we couldn’t stand in the way of his Blaugrana dream, even if it did end up turning into a nightmare.

Now Barca want to shift him, and they clearly see Chelsea as a possible buyer. We’ve got money to spend, that’s for sure, and are looking for a marquee player to replace Eden Hazard at long last. But is Coutinho the man?

He’ struggled both at Barca and Bayern in the last two seasons, and even before that Liverpool were willing (if reluctant) to sell him for the right price.

Are we going to be the next team sucked in by the talented Brazilian’s skills?
