With there being no football being played right now, at least it gives Chelsea the chance to work on their summer transfer shortlist.
There has been a new name added to the list, at least that is according to an exclusive from 90min anyway.
They claim that Chelsea are interested in signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 30-year old’s Arsenal future is in doubt, with his current contract there running out in the summer of 2021.
Chelsea are looking to pounce on the uncertainty and make a move for the Gabon international in the summer.
The belief is that Arsenal would rather cash in on the striker this summer, rather than lose him on a free next year if he doesn’t sign a new deal, which looks like it could be the case.
It would be a decent move for Chelsea if true, bringing in a quality more experienced striker to help Tammy Abraham, but will not stunt his long term progress.
