When reading about Chelsea’s pursuit of a new left back, the names who are constantly linked with being the main targets are Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, and Porto’s Alex Telles.
Chilwell remains the priority, according to Goal. However, Leicester will not allow him to go unless it’s for a massive fee, this may put Chelsea off even though they say Chilwell is interested in making the move.
Telles is of course still an option, and will be a much cheaper option.
But the report also states Barcelona left back Marc Cucurella as an alternative option for both.
He is currently on loan at Getafe and has had a fantastic season so far.
Cucurella will be the cheapest option of all at around £23 million, with clauses in his loan contract from Barcelona meaning he could be available this summer.
The 21-year old has come through the Barcelona youth ranks and has been a regular in the Spanish youth teams, most recent the under-21s.
