Football may have stopped, but football clubs haven’t and they’re all apparently still chasing targets for potential transfers when the market opens again.
The latest to be rumoured, this time on Sky Sports News as you can see in the Tweet below, is Declan Rice. The West Ham midfielder has worked his way up to a first team regular over the last 2 seasons, and looks like a really solid homegrown defensive midfield option.
Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice if the transfer window goes ahead this summer.

Even more harmoniously, he also was at Chelsea’s academy for many years before being released. He’s famously great mates with Declan Rice – the pair played football earlier this week when they were supposed to be on quarantine.
Apart from that transgression, Rice seems like a good lad and a potential future England stalwart. It’s no surprise that we’ve got interest, as we need more defensively minded midfielders anyway.
How much he would cost, and when the window will even be open, is another question entirely. Plus the Billy Gilmour question, after the teenager impressed so much in the last games of the season – isn’t he the future in that position?
