Barcelona striker could be available to Chelsea just one year after big move

Barcelona are ready to sell Antoine Griezmann when the transfer window reopens, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

According to the tabloid, the Spanish club aren’t happy with how

He cost them £108m, and they wouldn’t want to sell him for much less. He hasn’t had a bad season by any means, but he’s struggling in a team that has had issues all year.

Overall it’s hard to see a move happening so soon. He will want to stay and prove himself, and there’s more than enough positive signs that he can make things click when football resumes.

But top teams will doubtlessly be monitoring the situation. Barca have been heavily linked with Lautaro Martinez of Inter, his arrival would certainly make France forward Griezmann’s departure more likely.

One massive issue comes in the form of his wages: £294,000 if the Mail are to be believed. Even if we go really big when the window opens, we’re unlikely to want to shatter our pay structure like that.

This one looks very unlikely, for the time being.
