“Won’t cost too much” – Chelsea Journalist picks his Pedro/Willian replacement

Chelsea are looking increasingly likely to lose veteran wingers Pedro and Willian in the summer, with both their contracts ending in June.

Willian is even reportedly close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona.

Pedro started for Frank Lampard yesterday in their 2-2 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League. However, it is hugely unlikely that he will stay past the summer and will probably be choosing his next move now.

One player who might be in for a chance to replace them, is former Chelsea player Jermie Boga. The Blues inserted a 15 million euros (12.6 million pounds) buyback clause in his contract when they sold him to Sassuolo in 2018, according to Goal.

Boga is having a great season in Italy and scored another wonder goal against Roma yesterday.

This drew plaudits from Chelsea Journalist Simon Johnson of The Athletic, who believes that Boga would be a good replacement for Pedro or Willian, and ‘won’t cost too much either.’
