Wolves player predicts success for new Chelsea signing

Ajax have a crop of excellent players at the club right now, but they will have at least one fewer next season, once Hakim Ziyech has joined Chelsea.

The attacker’s move was confirmed by both clubs today, and it’s lead to a swathe of comments from his old teammates congratulating him and predicting success for the future.

The Metro have quoted from his Morocco international colleague Roman Saiss, who plays for Wolves and predicts success for his buddy in the Premier League:

“I speak sometimes with him about his future because he deserves to play at a good club, a top league and I hope for him that soon he is going to move,” Saiss said.

“Even if Ajax is a good club I think he can play higher and for an even bigger club. The fans like a player like Hakim, skillful, exciting, and I’m surprised nobody has come for him [before].”

Well for whatever reason they didn’t and now Ziyech will get the move he’s earned with his good performances in the last year. Let’s hope he fulfills the successful path that Saiss predicts for him.

Nothing is guaranteed in football, and we’ve seen better players try and fail, but for just €45m, this seems like a fantastic deal for Chelsea, and the words of the players he’s played with only backs up that idea.
