Chelsea’s game against Tottenham didn’t hinge on a single incident, but the decision to not give Gio Lo Celso a red card for his “tread” on Cesar Azpilicueta looked like it might be one.
On ESPN today they’ve been breaking down the weekend’s fixtures, and have concluded that the VAR decision not to award a red was “just incredible”, according to Stevie Nichol.
They also pointed out how the Blues had been hurt by a bad decision on Monday night when Harry Maguire was allowed to stay on the pitch too. At least in this case we came away with the three points.
