Harry Maguire avoided a red card on Monday night and the same thing happened today. Gio Lo Celso raked his studs down Azpi’s leg and got away with it.

VAR checked it, everyone saw the replay and expected the midfielder to walk. When he didn’t there was pandemonium, and nowhere more than in the Chelsea TV studios where Jason Cundy was watching with various other presenters, all in shock at the decision.

His reaction summed up pretty much how we all felt in that moment.
