Last night saw another shameful evening of the use of VAR in English football, effectively causing Chelsea to lose to Manchester United in a hugely important game.
Harry Maguire should have been sent off in the first half for a stonewall red card offence that even the Referee should have seen.
Then Kurt Zouma’s goal was ruled out at an important time of the match because Fred pushed Cesar Azpilicueta INTO Brandon Williams, and VAR called that push the offence! Simply ludicrous.
Blues captain Azpilicueta explained how Fred pushed him and there was nothing he could do, and he also calls for video monitors at the side of the pitch. Not sure that will even help some of the incompetence we have seen this season though to be honest!
