Top striker still interested in Premier League move

Chelsea’s interest in Edinson Cavani was made very clear by Frank Lampard a month ago.

The way he spoke about the PSG striker showed his admiration for him as a player, and the way he spoke about needing help for Tammy Abraham up front showed he thinks the squad needs him.

January came and went without Chelsea buying the Uruguayan – or anyone in fact. That means the holes in the squad are still there, and come this summer Cavani will still be available.

In fact, with his contract running out in Paris, he will be on the open market. SportWitness today claim Chelsea are still interested, and will battle Man United for his signature this summer.

Apparently he’s interested in a Premier League move, and it’s just up to us to persuade him that West London is where he needs to be.

He could be the perfect veteran backup to rotate with Tammy.
