Lampard gives injury updates on 5 important players

Frank Lampard is having his press conference ahead of the game against Bournemouth tomorrow, and he started with some injury news.

“Pulisic is still injured, Kante is injured. Tammy Abraham is injured. Ruben is in the squad again tomorrow,” the manager said. He later went on to add that Callum Hudson-Odoi was also out.

So that’s four pieces of bad news, and one good. It doesn’t sound like Ruben will be fit to start, but he’s very close to a return. Christian Pulisic’s problem is truly mysterious  and we have no idea about when we will see him again. Kante’s injury is fresh and will keep him out for another few weeks at least, we reckon, and Tammy’s constant niggles are becoming a real issue now. Hudson-Odoi probably isn’t far off, but we didn’t get any detail on his issue.

So it’s bad news overall, but nobody was really expecting to see any of that injured quartet starting tomorrow. Even Tuesday’s FA Cup game with Liverpool will come too soon probably for all four – although that might be the chance at last for a start for RLC.
