Juventus pursuit of Willian transfer seems in line with club policy

Chelsea are preparing to lose Willian this summer, as far as we can tell from what we see at the club.

Frank Lampard is asked regularly in press conferences about how talks with the winger over a new deal are progressing, and so far his only response has been that there is no progress.

Now we’re into the final 6 months of his deal, he can speak to clubs abroad, and we have no doubt his agent has his feelers out in the market. Chelsea aren’t willing to offer him more than a one year deal, as is their policy for over 30s.

The signing of Hakim Ziyech to play in Willian’s position may just be another sign the Blues are ready to move on.

The Daily Express say that Juventus are now in touch with the Brazil international, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see that at all. The club from Turin love to pick up good players on free transfers, and you won’t get many more valuable stars than Willian finding the open market this summer.
